How will you stand up in 2020? As we start the new year it is an apropos time to reflect on an array of questions. Here are some to get you started:
What do I want in my life?
Whom do I want in my life?
Whom do I want to stand up with and for? And how might I do that?
When do I want to remain silent? How will I bring quiet, peace, and calm into my life and into my home and community?
As a leader at work or at school, how do I want to lead? What will be most effective?
Our answers to these questions may help guide us as we live our lives in the coming minutes, hours, days, and months.
So many questions to reflect on. Perhaps write about them or dictate your thoughts into the microphone of your cell phone as you take a walk. You may want to write by yourself or get together with a trusted friend or loved one to each share your thoughts about these questions.
In doing this exercise, you may come up with an intention for the year that isn’t something that you have consciously thought about until now. Through this deeper reflection you may discover something important to you and perhaps something important to the world at this time.
